This policy explains what CollabQuill ("we", "us") collects, why, and what we do with it. CollabQuill helps content creators draft outreach to brands for collaborations. We are based in Ireland.
What we collect
- Account details. If you sign in, your email, name, and login provider (for example Google) are handled by our authentication provider, Clerk.
- Your creator profile. The details you enter (name, platform, niche, audience size, links, rates, past partnerships, demographics, and similar) so we can personalize your pitches.
- Pitches and inputs. The brand website URLs you submit, any brand text you paste, and the pitches we generate. These are saved to your history so you can return to them.
- Usage data. Counts of generations (to enforce free/Pro limits), and basic technical logs including your IP address (for rate limiting and abuse prevention).
- Payment data. If you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.
How we use it
- To provide the service: crawl the public pages of the brand URL you give us, find contact methods, and generate and store your pitches.
- To personalize output using your profile, and to operate accounts, limits and billing.
- To improve CollabQuill, including understanding what makes outreach and brand collaborations succeed so we can offer better guidance and recommendations.
We reserve the right to retain and analyze data about brands, outreach and outcomes, including in aggregated or de-identified form, to improve the product and to help users understand which collaborations are worth pursuing. We do not sell your personal data.
Service providers we share data with
To run CollabQuill we use trusted processors, and only share what each needs:
- Clerk — authentication and account management.
- Stripe — subscription payments.
- DeepSeek (and, if configured, other AI providers) — receives the crawled brand content and your profile to generate the pitch. Do not paste anything you would not want sent to an AI provider.
- Upstash — stores your profile, pitch history, and usage counters.
- Fly.io — hosting.
- Google News— we query it for public news about a brand when running "around the web" research.
Crawling
When you submit a brand URL, we fetch publicly accessible pages of that site to gather context and contact details. We only access what is publicly available.
Storage in your browser
We use cookies for sign-in sessions (via Clerk) and your browser's local storage to cache your profile, theme and recent pitches so they are not lost.
Retention and your choices
We keep your profile and pitch history until you delete them or close your account. You can edit or clear your profile at any time, and you can request access to or deletion of your data by emailing us. If you are in the EU/UK you have rights under the GDPR, including access, correction, deletion and portability.
Children
CollabQuill is not intended for anyone under 16.
