How to pitch brands as a UGC creator with no audience

User generated content is the one creator path where your follower count barely matters. You are not posting to your own audience, you are making content the brand runs on its own channels and ads. That changes everything about the pitch, so throw out the audience-fit playbook and sell the work itself.

What UGC actually is

UGC is content you make for a brand to use, not for you to post. Short authentic videos, product demos, honest-looking reviews, all shot by you and handed over. The brand owns the usage and runs it wherever they like. Your channel and your numbers are beside the point.

Why follower count does not matter here

Because the brand is not buying access to your audience, a small account is no barrier. A nano creator with a hundred followers and a good camera eye can win UGC work that a large influencer would not bother with. What sells is the quality of the content and how usable it is.

Lead with the content, not the audience

The standard pitch argues that your followers are the brand's customers. UGC inverts that. Lead with your portfolio, your style, and how easily your videos slot into their ads. Show, do not tell. A few strong sample clips do more than any audience stat.

The UGC pitch

Hi [name], I make user generated content for brands in [niche], short authentic videos you can run on your own channels and in paid ads. I saw [brand] is [doing X], and I think a set of [three] hooks around [angle] would test well. I do not need a following for this, the content is yours to use. A few examples are here [link]. Could I send rates for a starter pack.

Price for usage, not reach

Charge per video, then add for extras. Whitelisting the content as a paid ad, longer usage windows, and fast turnaround all cost more, so price them on top of the base rate. Since there is no audience to price, your rate is about the work and the rights, and a starter pack of a few videos is an easy first yes for a brand.

Keep your best clips in a simple media kit so brands can see your style in one link.
